just a little update since Monzo only reports to transunion i applied for a Santander Current Account in the branch and was aceepted (proof of address was a Monzo Statement) and of course my German Passport.

Hopefully they report to all 3 agencies.

Stupid question: How do i inform my employer about the new bank account, is there a form or do i just give him the new accountnr and sort code ?

Wouldn’t that depend on the procedures of your employer?

If you let us know who you work for I’ll email your HR on Monday and ask if there’s a form or if it’s done in a less structured way like just advising payroll or your line manager.

Depneds on your employer, your HR would know the answer.
    I can do mine online.
  • its a one-man-company, as far as i know the owner just does a transfer from their Revolut Business Account. At least thats what i saw last time.
  • i was wondering if thats enough or (at least in Germany) they have to code it specially so the bank "knows" its my salary not just a random transfer

Surely then you just go and give that one man your new bank details? Or ask him what he wants you to do?

  • oh so u guys get your salary just like a regular bank transfer ? is it that easy (sorry in Germany its super complicated they need to wire the salary with a special code so the bank knows its salary and use that as reason to issue credit cards and Overdraft )
