Ending the never ending debts

• Above is my first attempt at a soa I think I need to tweak it a bit and have some more factual figures as I’ve guessed at some of them. I haven’t put in anything for vet bills, yet poorly pooch is currently going to vet every other day at a cost of approximately £25 per time:eek: Am hoping over the next week or so this will cease.
I’m not sure my Xmas/present budget is realistic. Seeing everything written down is a bit of a shock to be honest. Xx

I’m sorry that you were feeling down but it’s good that you were able to pick yourself up and are feeling more positive. Finding your old diary has come at the right time as it has enabled you to see the progress you have made – you will again even if, at times, it might not feel like it.

I hope you have been able to sort out a plan for the coming week – if not, are you able to contact the solicitor and water company to delay payment?

Although you feel a bit shocked at your SOA it is better to understand where your money is going. It might take a while to complete your SOA accurately but once you know the actual costs you will be able to start to make progress.

Good luck and I hope your pooch is feeling better soon.

Hi,

Is the children's father paying towards them? if not can your solicitor help you with this?

• Is £70 for water rates every month? Is that metered?

It's good that you could read back and see how far you have come. Be kind to yourself, when you have lived in stressful situations it can take time to recover.

Good luck. As you say, it is good that you are out of a really negative situation and moving forward. At least you have your own place. Is there anything you can sell to help with next week's bill? Can you ring up and change the date of any of them?

• Good afternoon

Still here even though I’ve not posted. Not sure I’m any less in debt than I was last time I posted. I’ve had a few weeks where I’ve read Abba and crazycatladys diaries from start to finish. Abba has really really inspired me, she’s amazing. And ccl? Another inspiration but with all the goings on with court for her it felt very similar to my own situation at times and I could really empathise with her. But oh my goodness they are some long diaries lol

Well in my news I have taken on a second job to try and help with paying for Xmas (this said , I’m really cutting back this year, girls are very understanding about this although they didn’t really ask for much anyway) and to help clear debt quicker. Worried about being paid by it though as they are wanting my birth certificate which I’ve had to order so I might miss the next pay day and have to wait until the one after  As I said I was inspired by Abbas diary and now want to look at going on holiday with the girls. Need to be making some happy memories.
• :)

Today has been ok mse wise. Spent 3.20 on lunch for myself at work. And have girls £5 between them to get their lunches. Tomorrow should be a nsd. Have friends coming for dinner but going to try and scrape dinner together from what I already have here. Couple of jobs to do tomorrow.
- get forms for car
- notify tax credits of second job
- make a meal plan and write shopping list
- look up wage slip for Friday’s pay day.

Off to check what I can send to pad.
• Hey

Just read through your diary. I am on a similar journey as a single mum and know how hard it is. However, you are doing a brilliant job so far. Keep cutting back, and streamlining everything. The way i look at it, is things may be tough now, but imagine how much better it is going to be with financial freedom? Not only that, you are bringing up the next generation of women - show them what being a strong independent woman is all about!!!

Good Luck, I will follow your journey x

• Oh diary diary diary :o. Why do I feel like I’m working so hard but getting no where? Am really tired but off to work in a minute. Am going to need to do a food shop tomorrow, there’s quite literally nothing left. Girls having a odd combination of bits for dinner tonight, bless them. Tomorrow I will pay the rent and see if there’s any spare to make over payments to Barclaycard. Think I’m going to be stung big time on my very as I’ve left it too late to be able to pay off my bnpl so will be getting the interest added on the next statement I think :o my own fault, no one to blame but me unfortunately. Right off to work. Xx
• We have ups and downs, eh but the fact you're even trying to do something is better than nothing. It sucks about interest being added but it is what it is. We can only learn and move forward, right? You'll get there. Just keep going. I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines.
