  • I was unfortunate enough for my welcome pack to get lost in the post and then refused to cancel my membership when it finally arrived as it was after the trial period. As another post has pointed out, it is rubbish value for money, and there are better deals to be had by shopping around. I haven't heard of most of the companies on there, and the experiences are all buy one get one free which you can pick up vouchers for anywhere. Steer clear unless you are going to cancel and get a freebie.
  • We joined this last year, (cancelled within 30 days) we are about to claim the last £10 petrol voucher. This really was an easy £40, we cancelled by telephone - within a couple of days they had confirmed the cancellation in writing.
    Started Comping in August 2014

Wins - A Year's family membership for National Trust / Pudsey the Dog Movie goodie bag / Jack Daniel's Harmonica.
  • When I joined Leisuretime last year I was a bit miffed when they sent me £5 vouchers instead of the £10 I was expecting. So I rang them up and said there weren't any £10 vouchers in my pack. This was not a lie, it was completely true, I simply failed to mention that I had been sent £5 vouchers.
The very pleasant gentleman apologised and promised to send me the £10 vouchers in the post, which I duely received. I've received £10 x2 and £5 x2 cheques from them so far and have the same again to claim over the next four months.

Thanks Barclaycard. You might not give me cashback on your credit card (which I never use) but you gave me £25 for using the account once. and very kindly offer me incentives such as the Leisuretime freebie.
Other credit card offers this year I have enjoyed are £20 M&S vouchers for trying mystuff (insurance for ipods etc - easy to set up, just as easy to cancel) and £10 M&S vouchers for trying Lovefilm.com (equally easy to set up and promptly cancel).
THAT'S £115 RETURN ON A CREDIT CARD I USED ONCE!
Don't you just love it when banks give you money, rather than the other way round...
(Only started posting today, sorry, got a bit carried away!)
Ageing is inevitable - maturing is optional :p
  • Finding it very difficult to get my refund of £69.99 as they say I am outside of the 30 days cancellation period but I only received my vouchers last week. It turns out that none of the offers are suitable to our needs and certainly not a 'saving'. I have been told that if I cancel I will not get a refund and that none of the vouchers will be valid even though I will have paid an annual subscription. Also, by paying by direct debit through your credit card you do not have the same direct debit indemnity protection a bank account would offer you. I feel like I have been robbed of £70!

Leisure Time have changed the way they are working, look at this:

    http://www.jonathanmacdonald.com/?p=2254

Othe companies who have been involved in this include Grattan, Ticketmaster, Barclaycard, Freemans and Kaleidoscope .

Allegations that people are being signed up without their knowledge.

i dont remember ordering these petrol vouchers. i did ring up in time to cancel and was talked into having a further look. because my life was upside down at that time i didnt have a further look and i rang again to cancel a day late and they wouldnt let me cancel but promised further petrol vouchers. when i have tried to use the extra vouchers i have been refused. there are no resturants in my area, no cinemas and no leisure facilities, the cds and dvds are no different in price to else where and one i ordered had scratches on it.:mad::mad:

What an interesting thread. I had never heard of this company before but I have to do a mystery shop to test them out then cancel. I am actually getting paid to do this but am glad I googled first so now I know what I am in for.

All I wonder is will I get petrol vouchers and will I be able to keep them!! :D
The art is not in making money,
    but in keeping it!!!
  • Some people here obviously did not read about the product properly as jazzy jeff says rubbish deal "69.99 for 40 in petrol vouchers".
I actually sell this product and it is not about the petrol vouchers, it is all about the discounts you can get from everywhere else. If your an outgoing person you can save 100's and 100's of pounds a year you get cheap meals, cheaper tickets than everyone else through ticket master, theme parks, money off everything to organic cheese oh and petrol vouchers so if thats your cup of tea but if you use it properly you can save alot. I got it and i will keep it as it is well worth 69.99 as i have saved that already in a month going to theme parks and music festivals.
