  • I recieved this offer through a statement also. Joined up & cancelled no problem & kept my £40 cashback vouchers. Sent off about a fortnight ago for my first £10 & recieved it a cheque a few days ago. I've had no problems what so ever. Its even a free phone number to cancel!

Background:- I'm deaf and want to scan their dining offers.I've had two phone calls since I joined in December; the first got me booklets and tokens and the second in mid Jan got me a membership number (no Welcome Letter yet). Both calls were fraught experiences even with my wife as primary ears on an RNID approved phone. The first petrol token was honored during Feb. So there is life out there, I just don't seem able to access it.

Have just signed up for this - £7.99 per month and 1 month free trial.

Said I can cancel at any time so I will wait until I see what they are offering in my area.

  • On 2 July 2008 I received a phonecall from JIGSAW (who are employed by Leisuretime to sell this package). I asked a lot of questions and they were most helpful, giving me the 0800 cancellation number, details of the £40 petrol vouchers when you sent in a VAT receipt (I remembered to ask for this at the petrol station, just in case an ordinary receipt wasn’t any good) and lots more information. A lot of the offers are not applicable to me, but I was interested in the petrol, restaurant discount, and hotel bookings, so I “signed up”. The literature arrived 10 July. Clever how, instead of 1 x £40 petrol voucher, there are 4 x £10 (which can only be used in a particular quarter of the year). However, in the comments above from Tubster, it would appear you can cancel and still claim the £10 per quarter! I shall be trying that! They only have a handful of participating restaurants in my area, so that was disappointing. So I researched a holiday: 6 nights 28/9/08 – 4/10/09 through Octopus – the company that Leisuretime are linked to for holidays. One of the hotels listed (The Hofwirt) had a double room with breakfast for £561.00 (without insurance). However, Expedia had the same dates and double room with breakfast WITH flights to and from Gatwick for £393.52 !!! Leisureforall ‘s website says they will “happily refund the difference” but I would not like to chance it! Could this be how they make enough money to keep shelling out the £40 petrol money? Needless to say, I shall be cancelling my membership before they lift £7.99pm from my bank!

Me and my wife joined this last year and both cancelled within the trial period.

We have both successfully claimed back £10 for 2 periods.

So as long as you keep the claim vouchers and remember to claim at the right times it's well worth the hassle.
