Easy to open current bank account

Hi guys,
I am looking for a current bank account to open that I will switch to another bank in the future. The current bank account should be easy to open (only online form would be ideal) and should not have good referral or switching offer.
Can somebody recommend bank accounts that meets above criteria? Thanks.

Actually good referral offer is ok, but definitely not good switching offer (to be able to switch to them in the future).0

Someone like a TSB would be good -from what I remember last time I opened one they gave me the account number and sort code there and then online
alternatively if you have a smartphone you could open a monzo account that is app only very easy to open
I would definitely avoid NatWest HSBC or First Direct they take months!0 -
With the exception of HSBC and M&S, literally all current accounts can be opened online. Depending on whether the bank can identify you electronically, you may or may not have to provide additional information, even in person at some. The speed at which you get your online access and your debit card etc varies. The app-only banks are possibly fastest.
BUT: Should your criteria for selecting a bank go beyond the account opening? For instance, do you need Branch access, and if so, does the bank have a Branch that is convenient for you? Do you want interest on positive balances, what are the charges? etc etc
You do not have to make use of any referral or switch offers if a bank offers them.0 -

Thanks for all the answers. To clarify: I want to open a bank account that I will switch to another. Don't want to open a bank account that has a good switching offer as I will not be able to switch to them in the future (most of this offers seem to be for new customers only).0

TSB is an exception. At least the current offering is. The next one might not be so probably best to avoid this as a donor account.Don't want to open a bank account that has a good referral offer as I will not be able to switch to them in the future (most of this offers seem to be for new customers only).0 -

As suggested Monzo or Starling might be an option for you.0 -
By referral offer I meant switching offer, sorry for the mistake in my previous post. :wall:0
