Changing joint account because of bereavement

I had a joint current account with my mother who died recently, how do I change account over to just me. Is it a matter of just taking copy of death certificate to bank with my I.D.

Ring the bank and ask for the bereavement team, assuming your bank has one they've been specially trained to deal with all aspects of bereavement. In my limited experience they were very helpful and considerate.

If it’s not on your normal route I would phone up because you might need to make an appointment rather than do it over the counter, it yes you’ll need to take death cert and Id.
