Can someone please tell me which post this refers to. I've read the list many times and don't see any mention of fluttering ticket. Thanks0

Morning all - everything going to plan, all steps followed, claim allocated to local court and date set.
I received this obviously generic letter from the Claimant a few days ago. I have no intention of parting with any money but I would like your feedback as to how/if I should respond and if this is usual practice on the part of the Claimant and if anything can be "read into it."
The letter (with the names/addresses obviously altered) reads as follows:
Mr. Jeff Wode
Crow Crag
Penrith
Cumbria
CA6 789
Dear Sir/Madam
RE: F133C1NGY0U – Vexatious Claims Servers vs Mr Jeff Wode
We write regarding the above Claim.
This matter has now proceeded to the Small Claims Track and Directions have been set by the District Judge.
We are confident that we have a strong case against you and we are entitled to recover the outstanding Parking Charge Notice and any additional costs, as set out in the Particulars of Claim. However, we are mindful that under Civil Procedure Rules litigants are expected to try and resolve their disputes wherever possible.
Therefore, we are willing to accept a reduced settlement charge of £125.00 payable within 14 days from the date of this letter. This offer is made on a without prejudice basis. Should you fail to accept our offer of settlement then we will continue with our Claim for the full amount claimed and bring this letter to the Courts’ attention upon question of costs. To make payment please transfer £125.00 to the following bank details using the reference N1C3L1TT13E4RN3R
Account Number: 12345678
Sort Code: 89-10-11
We look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully

OH DEAR .... you could not make this up could you

If they have issued a claim why would they offer you a deal.
HA, they may be confident ..... how confident are they about the ABUSE OF PROCESS considering VCS got a spanking about this recently ? Can they prove to a court that they have the authority to circumvent the law with their abuse of process ???
I would ignore them and wait to see what they actually do.
If VCS get spanked again, they probably will do, make sure you have your costs schedule ready for the judge0 -
Hopefully they are fictitious details and case reference number on that letter!0

Indeed, if not edit immediately!
You could respond stating that, as they know their claims have been struck for being an abuse of process, you will be claiming your full costs, pursuant to CPR27.14(2)(g), when you prevail.0 -

I did look for something like that ..... honest! Maybe I'm just too nice a person to see the bad in everything. Now I see it, it is funny and clever.0

Morning - thank you, as always for the advice: glad I could give you a giggle.
I am keeping a careful note of all expenses and all the time of mine that has been wasted by this odious gang of opportunistic extortionists and am looking forward to presenting my cost schedule upon the case`s successful conclusion.
With this in mind, does the forum think there might be any merit in offering the Claimant 14 days to discontinue, with me not claiming costs if they did so within this time frame?Even a stopped clock gives the right time twice a day..0 -
No harm in it
Rememebr you will be showing your Costs to them 3 or so days before the hearing
THis will be nicely itemised so you can justify each hour spent.0 -
Any update on this one? Mine was the original post that I believe was referred to. My mum received a letter of discontinuation today with court due next wk. This was after they received my mum's witness statement pointing out the numerous contradictions they had made in their evidence.0
