I do most of my shopping on line and Amazon Prime with next day delivery is good deal for me. Access Prime TV is a bonus."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Yes absolutely, I could not agree with you more...I think Amazon Prime is a godsend TBH and I wouldn't be without it. Especially,as you say, you need something delivered the next day.
Furthermore, if you weigh up the pros and cons of online shopping in general, work out how much you would need for parking and to fill your tank up with fuel per week or per year for shopping trips etc or how much it would cost for the train and bus fares if you don't drive.
£7.99 per month for Amazon Prime is extremely good value. No comparison.0 -
"Especially,as you say, you need something delivered the next day." Also they offer same day delivery for selected items.
I do have Prime and watch some of the content of Prime Video. However, there seems to be a growth in content that is pay to view which is not so good.0 -

It's lousy value for people who only occasionally buy things from Amazon. If I want next day delivery, it's cheaper for me to just pay for it on that order.
On my latest order, I selected free delivery, without Amazon prime. the delivery may arrive a day or two later, which makes no difference to me.
I am getting fed up with Amazon constantly pushing prime on me. Every time I order, I have to hunt down the link on their ordering process that allows me to order without signing up for it. The latest time, there was a big orange button to sign up for prime, a grey button that was something to do with paying later (but no explanation of what would happen if I clicked on it), and a link with no highlighting at all to just continue with my order. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -

Last order this week had about 5 options for postage .
Including Free Prime .
Took me about 5 mins to check postage costs on each option .0 -
My son has Amazon Prime so if I see something that's only available that way,,,,, I ask him to order and pay for it. Works every time. Item gets delivered with the grandchildren on a Wednesday - payment for free childcare from my perspective. Do they deliver Supercars?????#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660

I was pointing out that the big orange button that I was obviously meant to click on was the one to sign up to prime. The link to continue was just that - an ordinary link. No highlighting. No bright colours. Just a link, like all the dozens of others on their web site.
There are some customers who have no need for Amazon prime, and I find it really annoying that they keep trying to push it on me. There is no opt-out. I can't tell them that I don't want it. Instead, every time I order something, I have to work out how to navigate their order process without getting it. And that process keeps changing. If it sticks, force it.

I love Amazon prime. I have just graduated from (The Open) university and have benefited from the studen discount , so paying under £50 for 18 months membership. It has really helped supplement my pension!
I live in a remote and rural location, where many companies will not deliver. Amazon cannot manage next day here, but usually get the day after. It has really opened up our options.
My one question is though, what on Amazon Prime is the difference between a movie and a video? I have not worked that one out yet and would be interested to know the answer.0 -

The only reason you would struggle with this is if your the type of person who just blindly clicks through the checkout without reading anything, which is obviously not a good thing.
It really isn't difficult to see where to click if you read what your clicking on before you do it, like you should be every time you buy something.
The other option is not to use Amazon anymore if you don't like the way they operate. I often find that other sites sell the same item for less anyway.0
