My main defence is whilst the car was parked in said car park, which belonged to shop in question. Items were purchased from said shop. There are no receipts, as one wasn't given and the PCN was issued further down the line. Said photo's on PCN were only a minute apart.

Sounds more like your story than a defence

A defence is based on legal arguments

Study the example defences and construct your own, then post the defence draft below for critique

Did you appeal or ignore the initial PCN?

Was the NTK PoFA compliant or not?

Did you send the SAR as advised earlier?

Have you got pics of the site and signage?

Did you complain to the landowner?

You should be using the information gleaned from the above for your defence.

You should also complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

Mediation is not advised, there is no common ground.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies Mediation is not advised, there is no common ground.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Neither. Read the thread that KeithP linked to. It contains detailed instructions on whet to do and when.

There will be no court decision yet.

Re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES thread - especially bargepole's 'what happens when post linked from there which describes ...err ... what happens when. ;)
