Premier Park Limited and County Court Buisness Centre

Today I woke up and found out that I had a letter from the County Court Business Centre in Northampton, regarding a claim by Premier Parking Limited. Apparently, they issued me several parking notices between 12/1/2015 and 02/03/2015 and in total are asking for £835.60. This is the first time I have heard of anything regarding any of this, I have never gotten a PCN on my windscreen, nothing in the post.

I have no idea where this was supposed to have been taken place, if I was the driver, if it was my car or anything. Why have they taken 4 and a half years to get in touch with me? Apparently, I have 13 days now to respond. I suffer from anxiety and stress which this is obviously not helping.

Suggestions, advice or anything would be useful.

No such firm as Premier Parking, so please get your 'eyes for detail' honed!

    Tell us which firm:

    Premier Park?

    Premier Parking Solutions?

The NEWBIES thread tells you exactly what to do with a claim, and how to do it. What's the issue date of the N1 claim form? This will help us to give you bespoke advice and is safe to divulge.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They have 6 years to issue a court case and it's been that way since 1973

Post the issue date from the claim form below, plus the correct name of the claimant

Check that the name and address is correct on your V5C and was correct at the time of the incidents, because you may have moved and not updated them all

Email a SAR to the DPO at PP and get all of the docs and pics and data about you and your vehicle as well, attaching a pic or scan of the V5C or the N1 claim form to the email as proof of ID under the GDPR law
  • Sorry I meant 'Premier Park limited'

They have not told me any car information. The claim issue date is 17 jul 2019.
Ok I will get in contact with Premier Park limited and find out all the information I can.

With a Claim Issue Date of 17th July, you have until Monday 5th August to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox file linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread. About ten minutes work - no thinking required.

Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 19th August 2019 to file your Defence.

That's over a month away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:
      Print your Defence.
    1. Sign it and date it.
    2. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    3. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    4. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    5. Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
    6. Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
    7. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.

By SAR to their DPO yes, no phoning them, not that sort of contact.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
  • I might be missing something but what do you mean by SAR to their DPO?

You need to read up on this to get a better understanding of the game you are now caught up in

See the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum

Post #2 covers Court claims right through to the hearing with walkthroughs of every stage

Acronyms used here are explained in the FAQ, see post #5 there

Any not listed there, try googling!
