I have been issued a CCJ and it has ruined my chances for a career in the police.

Please tell me that isn't a deliberate pun?Evening all
Really? Sounds a little dramatic to me. It's not the only career in the world and maybe something else would make you unsuitable for a police career given the amount of information you've given. All my finances are reliant on the success of my police application. (So I could potentially become homeless due to a CCJ which is unfair)0 -

I thought it showed the OP, despite all his/her reported problems, hasn't lost their sense of humour!bertiewhite wrote: »Please tell me that isn't a deliberate pun?0 -

Your best option is to get your MP on side. I recently had a dispute with a court, got my MP involved, and the court paid me compensation. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Well there could be a myriad of reasons. My stepson took 3 attempts to join the Armed Forces over the course of a year - each time a different barrier was put in his way.
My point is that to stake your entire financial future on one job application is either foolhardy or an exaggeration.0
