I would be most grateful for any advice members could give. I am currently with Virgin Media but can no longer afford the monthly fee. What sort of broadband do I require, living on my own but streaming Netflix as well as email and internet usage? Any recommendations and advice on how easy it is to switch from cable to a phone line? Many thanks!

I pay £60pm for TiVo box (only Freeview channels) plus unlimited broadband, line rental and calls. I've tried haggling, they don't want to know!0

You may have to threaten to leave to get anywhere haggle wise.
use the above site to find a price for a similar product and make up from another provider as a new customer and go back to Virgin with that figure.0 -
If you have good signal from three mobile, change your mobile phone provider to three with unlimited tariff.
Then tethering everything from your phone.0 -
I need only give a month's notice. The Tivo box is really only a recorder so I could manage with a freeview box which I would need to buy.0

You may not need to buy a Freeview box, your TV probably has it already.0

Pretty much the same as us then. They quoted £62 yesterday for a 12 month contract.
Now looking to move, as our TIVO is basically a recorder too:)Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
