TalkTalk Recent Opinions?

Options
Seems to be the cheapest for me at the moment.
Anyone with them at the moment care to share their opinion from the last few months?

I tried to sign up late last year. For some reason the order didn't go through properly. I had notification of the order. When I contacted TalkTalk to enquire what was happening as I had no contact from the current ISP about leaving customer support couldn't find any details the order of which I had details of. CS put me through to sales to try ordering again. Sales could not place a new order as they could see a pending order on the line. CS and sales appeared to use different systems that had different data.

After being passed between CS and sales a few times trying to get them to understand the issue and sort it out I gave up and went with a different ISP and migrated with no issues at all.

All the TalkTalk call centre staff were polite but just couldn't quite understand the problem and could in no way fix it.

I am not going to attempt to use TalkTalk in the future.

Been with TT for years. A few problems but nothing recently so generally happy with service....
  • We've recently switched from Sky to TalkTalk (it's cheaper than the package we were on with Sky and a lot faster) - we're only about two months in, but haven't had any issues. The switch / setup process was quick and hassle-free as well, so no complaints!

I've been with them for over 10 years and over that time they've been generally OK. A few sync issues which have been sorted out quickly. Had loss of phone and broadband for a week recently and had to insist on compensation. They're cheap but you get what you pay for. I have "faster" broadband but I only get 3Mbps because I'm 2 miles from the exchange, which is fine for me. Do double check what speeds you can achieve before signing up.

There is a reason they are cheap! My advise would be to steer well clear.
Pay a bit extra and get what you pay for.
