Smart Meters for Medium Pressure Gas Meters

Just to clear up any confusion, all gas meters work with a medium pressure gas supply, it is the regulator that is different and requires further training. It is quite difficult to get an appointment because medium pressure trained meter fitters are quite rare. You may have a longer waiting time than a standard, low pressure customer would. I've just switched to Ovo. They did the leccy smart meter, but said they had no engineers that could do medium pressure gas meters.
So what do I do? Wait until the contract ends & switch again? How do I find a supplier who can do it?

Any currently available domestic smart meter can be fitted to a MP supply.

The incoming MP supply  (up to 2 Barg) will be fitted with an MP>LP regulator (either single or two stage depending on model) , the output of which is low pressure  (upto 75mbarg).

The difficulty is not the availability of meters. The issue likely lies with their installers who may not be familiar with MP>LP regulators and therefore cannot carry out the install.
