Fisher Investments

Fisher promote themselves widely on Facebook and claim annualised returns since 2002 of 9% on their Purisima total return B fund. Their min investment is £250k. This seems a lot to commit to a single investment company.
Does anyone have experience of investing with Fisher. Are they as good as they say they are ?

When I didn't know much about pensions I responded to one of their adverts to get the 15-minute retirement guide. That led to a lot of high pressure sales calls and it was quite hard to get rid of them.
The more I found out about Fisher Investments, the more I realised they were not for me. IMO they are an expensive wealth management firm that rely on quite high pressure sales tactics and I prefer to manage my own investments using low-cost, well-diversified multi-asset funds.
Just do some Googling about Fisher Investments (you will find some very mixed reviews) and take a look at this thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5629829/fisher-investments-any-views
Make sure you know what you are doing before you invest. Make sure you understand the difference between wealth managers (like Fisher), using an IFA to create a portfolio or make fund recommendations for you, and using low-cost DIY investments.0 -
Any company that makes sales calls to persuade you to let them manage your investments is making too much money from too few customers and so should be avoided at all costs.0

Bottom line - do not invest based on Facebook ads. Make sure you understand what you are doing, and make sure you have compared any potential investment to alternatives before you commit.0 -

Seconded this bolded text."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

I enjoy Ken Fisher's market commentary but would not pay for his expensive service.0

Fisher Investments is a high pressure US investment house. The will email and call you lots if they get your contact information. They are regarded as an expensive firm and anyone with any common sense stays well clear of them.“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”0

There are those on this site that feel you should ignore any company that advertises themselves on Facebook.
I do not do Facebook so do not know what you saw.
You should however be interested by the results produced if you google:-

Genuine non-scam companies such as HL, Nutmeg and Fisher Investments all advertise on FB however it's rare to find one with both an advertising budget and also low costs.
