As above, please note this is not the 3 digit number on the back, its the securecode that some (few) sites ask for. I cannot make a payment as I keep being refused, Yes I have gone thru the "reset your secure code" several times and it does not work. Asda (creation) say they cannot help as its a Mastercard problem, but Mastercard website says "refer to you cc issuer " help please!

If I am understanding you this secure code should be something that you set up yourself.
I have one that is used for both of my Barclay Cards which I set up online and every time I buy something I have to insert letters or numbers of the code.

You might have to log into your account and see if it's changeable from there.

Mastercard's securecode is the equivalent of Verified by Visa - a password to authorise card-not-present transactions. It's almost obsolete and will soon be replaced by one time passwords by text, or by a smartphone app.

Thanks for that but as I posted, Asda cc (creation) are unable to help as they say its a Mastercard problem, yet te MC website says "refer to the issuer" , so stalemate.

When you make a purchase that requires securecode, it offers a option for "forgetten securecode" which allows you to change the securecode. I know since some fraudster changed my securecode in order to make a purchase.

One has to ask what the point of a secure code is then if someone can just say they forgotten it and change it! I sometimes despair of bank security

Hi - I used to work for the Financial Ombudsman and the FCA.  What Creation have told you is nonsense - your relationship is with them, not Mastercard, and if Creation have chosen to use Mastercard, it's Creation's responsibility to sort matters out - you yourself do not have any kind of direct relationship with Mastercard.  It's a bit like a car salesman who sold you a duff car saying they can't help you because the duff car part wasn't built by them - absolute nonsense.  My advice to you is to make a complaint to Creation.  If they do not resolve the matter, then after they either send you a final response, or if 8 weeks has passed (which ever is earliest), you can take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman.

I suspect the OP has resolved it by now.

Unfortunately, as Creation are parting company with ASDA on 13 July, where's the incentive for them to sort this out before then?

You can't just reset it, you need certain details to be able to do so.
But Creation will have a team that can assist with issues.
