Line saver refund?

Hi I am thinking of switching to 'Post Office Broadband' as my present contract with Plusnet as ended. I have paid my Plusnet line rental saver for the 12 mths & have another 4 mths left, if I switch would I receive a refund? When checking Plusnets site it says no? I believe there is an Ofcom ruling now? Does this only apply in certain curcumstances?

Also if anyone has any experiences/advise about the Post Office Broadband

No refunds.
Ofcom say refund if you have cancelled the service under a price rise only .
PO see this forum basically steer clear as just a resold Talk Talk .

Hi. You're liable to severance costs when leaving a contract early, unless you're provider's committed a material breach. If there've been no issues with the broadband speed/reliability etc. or they haven't increased prices mid-contract, you're stuck. Ask around with new suppliers though - some will offer to buy you out of your existing contract if you've only a few months left.
