I am currently looking for a job on a night for when the children have gone to bed. been to see and advisor at the job centre0 -
rlj86, I've read your entire post and I'm so proud of you for wanting to get rid of these debts, taking responsibity for your family at such a young age. Good luck, I think you can do it! and all the advice on this to me is great and sincerely hope you can get a job to do in the evenings, this would help to reduce the debt.
If you're passionate about joining the Police you will achieve this, follow your dreams and don't let anything stand in your way.
Take care

Proud to be dealing with my debts

 Hiya sweetie,
I can see why you're overwhelmed hon - and most of us have been in the same position where we can't see the wood for the trees so I sympathise.
The only way to deal with so much going wrong at once is to be systematic about it so I'm about to be very bossy. You and your OH are in charge of this family so take charge of thsi situation before it spirals out of control any more.
Set yourself a task each day - and get it done no matter what. Once you get a few things sorted you'll start to think more clearly and things will look brighter..
For example:
Day One Ring CCCS to get started on sorting out all this debt. They are a charity and they'll guide you through what you need to do step by step.

Day Two Sort out Sky Tv Internet and landline etc. Sky do bundles for all three from about £16 - 18

Day Three Make an appointment with the CAB to talk about what you can do to get some benefits since it appears you have been unfairly dismissed. (It's illegal to sack you for wanting to work part time.)

Day Four Have a look at Moneysaving Old Style for ways to cook things from scratch and save lots of money on your shopping bill. I've been on these boards for a couple of years and I've never seen anybody yet who couldn't save money this way. There are lots of threads about feeding toddlers healthily and cheaply.

Day Five Make a list and go shopping on your own leaving your OH at home with the kids for an hour - or drop her at the supermarket and pick her up later if she doesn't drive.
My friends hubby does this and they have 5 kids under 6. He takes them to the park that he can park right next to - or he takes them to look at something from the car - like a duck pond with lots of baby ducks or they have a sing song in the car. If push comes to shove he just drives them around for 45 minutes with one of their tapes on!Bless him.
OR get your shopping delivered. You can usually get discount codes here which will pay for the delivery.

Day Six Cut your expenses. It's reality check time honey. Hopefully your lightbulb will be burning brightly by now and you'll be ready to consider ALL the options.
Think about cleaning your own windows maybe?
Think about whether or not you really need those mobile phones? Or the car?
I appreciate that you've got lots of kids, but who says you have to own a car? Lots of people don't.
Add up how much it costs you every month cos it's looking like about £500 to me.
Is it paid for - or should you be making finance payments on top of that?
That's a heck of a big chunk of what you've got coming in sweetie.
And keep posting hon. Lots of us on here have been in your place and we'll help all we can.
Love Jacks xxx(who's feeling a little bit broody now to be honest!
