Agree with the applying for JSA, shopping online, scrap the window cleaner and if there's any debt you should be paying it's the Council Tax arrears! That's the important one

I have spoken to Surestart, they have agreed to pay untill Jan, where it will be reviewed, for one day a week nursery provisions, 3 weeks for the twins to go and 1 week a month for the triplets to go. We have been billed untill the end of this month so will let that run then cancel. Still in arrers with that though so still will have to pay some off bit by bit.

The christmas vouchers only started out at about £15 a week between 3 companies, but borrowed from them when we were short hence it now being £50 for all 3.

I tried before selling old clothes and things on ebay but tbh honest, i was paying more out in listing fees.

Changed the window cleaner to once a month so thats down to £5 p/m

My local force says you will be considered 2 years after discharge

When we were sorting out our benefits etc, I was told becuase I wasn't working due to helping at home I couldn't be actively seeking work and couldn't claim JSA.

I am still in the read and thats before paying anything off my £15000 - £20000 debt. I don't exactly know how much it is or even how to go about contacting debtors because I have no details anymore of the accounts.

The people I owe to are:

    Halifax (Loan, OD, CC)
    G E Capital x 2 (Store Cards - Burtons & Halfords)
    HFC Bank (Laptop from Dixons)
    Style Financial Services (Store Card)

The people the missus owes to are (In her name only from before I moved in):

    Council Tax
    WDH (Rent)
    British Gas
    Argos Additions
Another Catalogue thing like additions, forgotton name. She is paying these off as she has a credit limit etc and on DD (Forgotten to add these on outgoings actually)

Where are these suveys you get paid for? not seen these before?

I dont know if i can do anything about my previous employer,

I was contracted to 36 hrs (3x12hr shifts, days/nights) but normally did 4 days sometimes 5. When the kids were born, it went down to 1 day but never got anything signed. he said we would get around it untill the kids were more managable and i could go back full time. in april he said I need you to come back doing 3 shifts a week. I said it wouldnt be possible but would speak to my other half about it. I rang him and told him I couldn't do it, to which he replied with, i am going ot have to let you go then. work your weeks notice (1 day) so i was madened by this but didnt think i could do anything about it. went to start work at 5 am one satuday morning to find two other security officers, my friends, waiting for me and i couldnt gain access to the site. they told me my managersaid i wasn't to work today, i wasn't allowed anywhere but the office to get my things and i had to be follwed and escorted of site. when i spoke to my manager, he said he had sent out a letter on the friday telling me i wasnt to work, the day before i should have been working! i still have not recieved it to this day. i got paid my notice, the one day i turned up.

    does this sound right?

Our Sky is £21 per month which includes plenty of childrens channels. We also have freeview in another room which includes Cbeebies, five life which show kiddy tv in the mornings, and channel 5 which shows kiddy tv first thing.

Even if you keep your sky (we have no tv aerial in our "good" sitting room), you can certainly reduce what you pay.

    Hi there
Well done on going to cut the sky package! Ace

Here is a list of survey and click through sites, that have paid out for me. Both of you can register for them so double the money! Sorry it is a bit long.

And I would ask acas as other have said about your previous job.

    good luck
    chev

www.lightspeedpanel.com - this is a survey site, where you get points that turn into vouchers (you choose). May not help with the cash flow, but the vouchers could be saved towards birthday/xmas or given as presents.

www.ciao.co.uk - survey site that gives money. A bit fits and starts i.e. no surveys for a couple of weeks, then three or four the same day.

www.yougov.com - again paid surveys. However takes a while to get to the minimum payout level

www.mytns.com - again this is a survey site, but it pays you in points that convert into Nectar points at Sainsbury’s.

www.pigsback.co.uk - this is a points site, i.e. they give you points for buying things via their site. BUT you also get points for signing up for news letters (some of which are even interesting!), and also for clicking on adverts with pink borders. I have spent NOTHING with them but got a £10 voucher through this week (only been registered since January). There is also a thread in the freebies section, of https://www.moneysavingexpert.com that gives you all the daily answers to the competitions so you can have a better chance of winning on them. I won £20 of points recently on the daily quizzes so a nice boost to the Christmas fund.

www.mutualpoints.com - another points for clicks site. You can also buy things via their site and get points too. For a long time, I just clicked the links in the emails they send you, and that gets you 5 points. At 3000 points you get £20 I think. You can do searches via their site and that gets you points too.

www.quidco.com - this is a cash back site, so very good, for checking if any potential new insurers (i.e. if you have checked your contents insurance say and found a new provider), are offering cash back. E.g. Lloyds was offering £120 cash back on new policies at one point (the offers do change). You can also get small amounts of cash again for doing searches via their site. You can earn 52p a day by doing this. Every little helps.

www.greasypalm.co.uk - another cash back site, where you can do searches and get small amounts of money. But it all adds up. I think you can get about 50p a day on there for nothing. Minimum payout is £20 I think, but you can sign up to survey sites via there, and get extra money that way for nothing.

www.topcashback.co.uk - another site where you can do daily clicks to get money for nowt.

www.britishrewards.co.uk - same as topcashback, daily clicks to do searches for pennies a time.

    Hi

Is there anyway you could work evenings that way you could be working while the kids are in bed and you would then get working tax credits etc?

How did you get on with Sky?
