    Could a faulty ABS module in the ECU also cause the power steering to stop working?

    My Vauxhall Astra did the same when i had the wheels off to do the front springs ,tried everything including plugging in a fault reader which could not find a fault .In the end undid the wireing connections in the front wheel arches ,sprayed with WD40 and re-clipped the connections ,been ok since.
