A main dealer? No. Just somebody competent.

    Yes, absolutely.

The wire may well be testing fine when they're just putting a meter on it sat on the ramp. But I bet if they wiggled and jiggled and bent it around the full range of suspension and steering movement, it'd sooner or later say open-circuit.

Also, generally, how cheap/easy is it to replace the wires for this circuit?

Trivially easy. Find duff stretch, cut out, splice new in, waterproof with heatshrink.

How would you find the duff stretch? Just wondering if you could just easily replace the whole wire from end to end for faily easy and cheap?

Would anyone be able to recommend a decent garage in or near Enfield that would be able to check the cable properly? Especially if it's not easy to just replace the whole cable!

Also the codes are C1208 & C1233. How do I find out what they mean?

C1208 - ABS Inlet Valve Coil Rear Circuit Short To Battery
C1233 - Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Input Signal Missing

C1208 isn't going to be a damaged wire to the sensor.

That's very helpful. I swear they said they replaced the front right sensor rather than the front left. I'll have to ask them about that.

I'm not sure what the ABS inlet valve coil rear circuit means. Could they both be down the the ECU?

There's a short circuit (to +12v, not earth) on one part of the ABS valve block.

Hi, For the 2011 Meriva 1.4 engine. How do I find the part number for the ABS ECU Module?
