TV License Renewal?

Hello all, hope you are well.
My mother has just received a TV license letter telling her that she has been unlicensed for 2 weeks and needs to renew.
We do not watch BBC Iplayer, or any English channels. We do not have any TV robots like Sky or BT or what not, but my mother does watch Turkish TV channels (we do have a box like robot for that that sits on the back of the tv). Its about as big as a burner phone.
Do I need to renew this TV license? What happens if I dont and just ignore it?:grouphug:
