LBC Letter from Gladstones

8bitHi All,
I'm starting a new thread because I've read through and I'm still a bit confused as to what my course of action should be.
I have received a LBC from Gladstones on behalf of UK Car Park Management Ltd, relating to a ticket issued a year ago.
The ticket was issued in regard to a visitors bay outside a block of flats.
The latest letter gives me, the registered keeper, until 19th July to respond using a form else they will be commencing legal proceedings.
Reading through the forum, it seems like the next course of action should be to request data from the parking company and perhaps respond to the solicitors. My ex had a visitors pass but left it in a car she sold to make matters worse so it could not be given to the driver.
Any advice appreciated.

Your first course of action should be to edit your post to refer to the driver in the third person. E.g. "the driver parked in the visitor space".
Your second course of action is to spend some time reading through the newbies thread which will explain the situation you've found yourself in and what to do next.

It would be useful to know by what means the space is allocated as a visitor space? Is it mentioned in the lease / tenancy agreement? Have you contacted the landowner to ask for the charge to be rescinded?0 -
Thanks for that. I've asked my wife to find her tenancy agreement that I can check what it says about visitors.0

Surely the latest letter gives the keeper until 19th July to respond?
Please note the subtle difference.
The keeper has protections that the driver simply doesn't.
You talk about the driver visiting his son, and about 'my ex'.
Someone not knowing the situation will be either surprised by the relationships here, or able to work out who the driver is.
Please re-read your posts and edit further.
It was the driver that parked. It was the keeper that subsequently received the NtK through the post.0 -
Having parked, the driver no longer has any involvement.granth1974 wrote: »Thanks for that. I've asked my wife to find her tenancy agreement that the driver can check.
Be careful.0 -
Understood, I should also point out that I am no longer the registered keeper of the vehicle against which the notice has been issued because I have since sold the car.0
