Lad (14) wants a mobile for xmas
If say I get him a £25 a month tariff can i pay this in full ( full 12 month term ) and then ask them not to let him go over his tariff ( 200 mins and 400 texts) each month?
i dont want to be liable for any big bills etc and i dont mind paying up front for him
can this be done?

No I don't believe so. Only idea perhaps is t-mobiles U-Fix plan. Where you would pay the monthly contract and the only way he would be able to go over the £25 a month would be if he got a top up card.
Its sort of the best of both worlds. The value of pay monthly with the control of pay as you go.
Dont think you can pay the annual contract in one go though.
Pay as you go deals are getting better and better now. Surely a standard pay as you go phone for a 14 year old would be fine. Don't want to get him anything too expensive as boys being boys its likely to get a few bashes.
Up to you though I guess.0 -
