Flight Cancelled and New Flight from different airport

Options
Hi. I was travelling from LTN to a non-EU destination more than 3,500km away. The airline then transferred me to another flight later on the same day from LHR with an arrival time of more than 4 hours delay.

What is the calculation of compensation due under these circumstances?

When is your flight? If it is more than 14 days from when you were informed of the change there will be no compensation.

Both the original flight and new flight were on the same day last month. I've since returned to the UK

Yes, but when were you notified of a change of flight details. if it was more than 14 days before the change there will not be any compensation. What did they tell you was the reason for the change?

Firstly, Put your details into euclaim and bottonline and see what they say. What reason were you given for the change? Which airline was it? If you arrived at your destination more than 4 hours later than you original flight time you should be due €600 per passenger.

Thanks. Wasn't sure if a cancelled flight, as well as change of airport would merit any different compensation amount.

I assume from the evidence this was El Al since they are probably the only airline that operates from both airports? They should have covered the cost of travel, if necessary from LTN to LHR but it is the delay time in arrival that counts. Good luck for getting the money, they are not known for being overly generous
