Sky negotiation query

I’ve been with Sky for a few years and had negotiated a good deal.
I’ve found with horror that my bill has doubled.
I was wondering if it is possible to negotiate a landline/broadband deal at the same time as a TV deal or should I switch phone/broadband and try to do a deal on TV?
Thanks.

Your bill has probably doubled because your deal has ended.
Scout the market, check what the other broadband providers and Virgin are doing for new customers then phone Sky back and say somebody else will do me everything but the kitchen sink for £x a month but I'd rather stay with you, what can you do for me?0 -
Thanks, but do I try to do a deal on both TV and broadband at the same time?0

You can ask but they'll most probably tell you that they only deal with one or the other so sort one side out and ask them to transfer you at the end of the call or hang up and redial.
If they transfer you it does not move you to the top of the queue BTW.0 -
I think you will likely get a better deal if you do try tv and BB at the same time, after all they have packages that cover this so it wouldnt seem logical to do them one at a time.
Make sure you understand the alternatives before you call, research what others are offering.0 -

You could do what I did last week... I went on live chat and asked to cancel everything I had with them as my bill was going to go up to £71.49 a month.
Then the next day go back onto live chat and tell them that you've changed your mind about cancelling and ask them if there is anything that they can do about the line rental as I never use my landline.
I don't know how I done it, but I managed to get Sky Entertainment, Boxsets and HD for £17 and Superfast Broadband for £11. The line rental is showing as £0.00 (For line rental and Superfast Broadband it should be £27 with the £5 discount from £32) https://postimg.cc/wyppRQbG https://postimg.cc/cKjvp2C8
I had the old Boxsets package and the only thing I don't have now is the kids channels, So I think I've got myself a great deal for £28 a month on my Sky+HD box!:D:D

Hi. I've always found Sky to be ready to offer discounts to keep a customer. If you have various packages with them, that makes it easier for them to spread the savings in their systems.
Moving is risky - I've had a nightmare with broadband/phone switch to Vodafone this month, and wish I'd never left Sky.0
