Dad's ashes are gone

Apologiesif If I missed this.
When you enquired at the FD who did they say they had released the ashes to?0 -
Many apologies but I'm a little confused.
In your blended family (I'm a blended family too, so trying to piece it together), your step dad's ashes have been collected by your step sister? So his daughter? Is your mother still alive, who he was married to at death?
Who arranged the funeral with the funeral directors: his daughter, his ex wife, or you his step daughter or his current wife?
If your step sister doesn't have the ashes, I completely understand you would want to know where he is. 100% a !!!! up has happened.
If she has them, then if she arranged the funeral I can understand this. If she didn't I'd be asking questions to the directors.
If she had them and isn't allowing you access, you have to find another way to help the grief. At the moment this is a distraction from the grief you are facing. Could you plan a tree planting, so you have somewhere to go to remember him?Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0
