I said to his face I am rejecting the car at that point aswell as telling the service manager hours earlier. I couldn’t of made it any clearer

So you told them you were rejecting the car before the did anything with it?

I told the service manager on the phone as soon as he told me the head gasket has gone, I’ve even logged the call, and then again that evening when I went to the dealership to the sales manager.

They have authorised repair without my say so. The same call I got about the head gasket was the same call I rejected the car.

To be fair you allowed them to work on the car before you rejected it. It could therefore be argued they're allowed one chance to repair it.

I forgot to mention before they recovered the car, the faults I mentioned, it had a fault with rear wheel wobble. Which was repaired in a local garage they use. I then reported the second lot of faults which I started this thread with. Sorry was trying to get the thread posted

I allowed them to diagnose the faults not work on the car. If I rejected a car without having this done I’d be being unfair?

Given it's already had a "fault" repaired you should have rejected it if you didn't want the car when you took it back to them. They argue you allowed them to repair it and you cannot prove otherwise.
