Tv options once moved home

Options
Hello people in my phone :)

We currently have Sky and it is costing us approx £80 a month  soon we will be moving so are considering leaving sky completely.

What would be our best option?
Ideally I would like Netflix, Now TV and Freeview all on one box, is that possible? Is there something out there?

The version of the Now TV Smart Box that was on sale last year would do this. It had Now TV, Netflix and a Freeview receiver with pause and rewind.

However, this year's version does not have the Freeview functionality.

You might be able to find one on eBay or Amazon (it's a black box with blue graphics, not the pink one).

If not that, then possibly a Youview box, although the Now TV app used to be restricted to Movies only. Some Youview providers offer a bundle of Sky channels as a pay tv add-on, however this will not include Sky Atlantic, because Sky do not sell this to other providers.

Freeview is built into almost all TVs now so you don't need a separate box for that. Most Smart TVs have a Netflix app and some can have NowTV added to it:

  • Thank you both.

So my TV is a smart tv however I am unable to get Now TV on it, but did discover that I can download Now Tv on the xbox, not ideal but I guess it’s a lot cheaper than having sky.

The best option seems to try and source the old Now Tv box and then watch Freeview from my smart Tv.

Why not just get a £15 / £20 NowTV stick or a £25 4K capable box, which depending on offers includes a moves or entertainment or sports voucher for a short period? And then look out for deals on vouchers or passes ongoing.

    Thank you.
You’re right, would be better to get a Now TV stick. Was just hoping that there was something out there where I could get everything in one place.

A Youview box would give Freeview, Netflix and NowTV, but currently NowTV is cripped on them, this may change once BT and Sky release their proposed cross platform packages.

But for now the NowTV stick or box are the money saving options.

Or others are Chromecast or Roku for extra apps but no inclusive passes. No NowTV on Amazon Fire TV.
