That pesky heading indeed! I had removed it already from my un-redacted version but somehow not kept the two versions in synch.
Thank you so much for all your support so far.

Morning all,
Yesterday we received a letter from Gladstones with a copy of the completed Directions Questionnaire where "the claimant has elected to mediate in an attempt to settle this matter amicably".
That sounds jolly nice of them!
Looks like the advice is to sit tight and wait until the CCBC sends us the Directions Questionnaire, and then complete as per bargepole's guidance.
No comments required unless I have got this all wrong!
Thanks :-)0 -
The advice on the newbies thread is wait OR to download your own and fill it out.
Id do the latter, Its done then. No chance of forgetting it!0 -
As advised, completing the N180 form now. Gladstones are the solicitors in this case and I noticed the following comment in Bargepole's Court Claim Procedure post:
Note: Gladstones are currently including a 'request for special directions' asking the Court to hear the case on the papers only, without an oral hearing.
In the cover letter from Gladstones and their N180 form I can't see any reference to a "request for special directions", so should I still include the following statement in D1?
“The Defendant opposes the Claimant’s request for special directions, and requests that the case be listed for an oral hearing at the defendant’s home court, pursuant to CPR 26.2A(3)”.
Thanks in advance.

No, because they havent included it.
Gladstones seems to have decided against this approach now - possibly having been spanked by it.0
