Shared electric meter problems with landlord

Its a smart meter in there and what would have been used as the submeter to calculate usage. And then it's the mains box for my flat (where you flip the switch if it trips or what not) and upstairs has his own.0

I would also not accept the energy company's statement that it's nothing to do with them, and insist they mark the account as disputed as the electricity has been unlawfully abstracted from you without your knowledge.
You're probably going to have to sue the landlord to get your deposit back, so you'll need to sue for the value of the stolen electricity too.
. Its a civil matter between supplier and occupier . The police may get involved if asked, but they never or extremely rarely are.0 -

Just wondering if there's any way you can disconnect the feed to the other flat, since it's coming from your meter?
Say nothing about HMRC!0 -
For some reason no. The facility is there and have been told these by 2 different engineers but there's no way LL is going to pay the distribution company the thousands to make the switch. I have raised the issue before with him to which its "I dunno why we're going over this again"0

Turn the power off when you leave0

Remember to send a letter to the next victim, send it every 6 months.
Check the deposit is protected0 -
Anyone got an idea of what to do?
He's messaged this morning asking when he can do a viewing and pick up end of tenancy letter. Another issue
I just explained that it would be better to speak in person as still need to discuss the electric. I really want to know how he will talk his way out of it when he clearly hasn't been paying the bill. A court would laugh at him so I hope he takes me to it if I'm honest.0 -
take a daily reading of the sub meter, multiply this by the amount of days you have lived there, then times 15.31 pence. then tell him thats how much he owes you.
are there no switches at all between the sub meter and the cables leaving the area?
could you post a picture of your meter, just blank out the meter serial numbers if you do.0 -
Since the LL had a smart meter put in the sub meter doesn't work so I can't take those readings. I feel like he did it on purpose. There's no switches. The only thing I could do is turn off my mains power. He would still have power.0

Have updated with images of the meter in drive link.
Is there anything stopping me from just updating the direct debit details to his? He's completely avoiding the subject at all cost.0
