Hello alllll,
Looking for suggestions for a good value emergency handset to stick in my car. I've had the Nokia 100 for the last 6 years, but last winter killed it off.

Ideally I want something where the battery will last a good few months if the handset is switched off - something I can rely for those rare situations when you need to make a call and everything else is out of power. I do have a USB attachment that pops into the cigarette lighter to charge stuff, but as my last issue was a flat battery, that's not my preferred solution
Any suggestions welcome - I spent £10 on the Nokia 100 back in 2013, so anything sub-£20 would be great.

I'm sure you'll find a similar cheap phone at the price you want, to cover yourself in case its battery is flat AND your car's battery is also flat, keep with it one of those little devices into which you put conventional battery/ies to power the phone.
Then don't forget to use the phone to send a text or make a call every three months or so to prevent the network cutting you off - it'd be ironic if having covered the power issue you found you'd been cut off when you try to use it!

If you normally carry a mobile phone with you then why not just buy a power bank to keep in your car and then it will cover you if your mobile is dead.0

Carphonewarehouse give away unlock nokia 105 with £10 EE top up.
This is cheaper then amazon. (don't forget quidco/ TCB link)

However, i do agree you it would be easier just buying a powerbank.0
