Hi,

Received a windscreen PCN 18/06/2019 at my gym (sports centre) car park

Car was parked on a yellow line (not blocking any cars/spaces), apparently the car was observed for 6 minutes and I was given the PCN.

The sports centre has no details online of who I can contact via email to make them cancel the PCN, should I call the number on the sports centre website and try that way?

Thanks in advance guys

use the blue text template as is, no changes , appealing as keeper on day 26

no blabbing about who was driving or what they did

so do the appeal as KEEPER on day 26 following the incident

edit your post above to remove any idea of who was driving on the day

hint , the DRIVER did all that stuff , it is the keeper who is appealing with the template

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams so complain to your MP.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

    Hi guys,

    recently received this response..

"Thank you for your correspondence. Unfortunately due to legislation and regulation we may only
consider appeals from the driver, the registered keeper
(where we have obtained their details from the DVLA) or third parties where we have received
written authorisation from the person liable for the charge notice.
In order for us to consider your appeal please ask the driver to send us a letter authorising us to
consider your appeal on their behalf. The letter should identify them as the driver and include their full
    name and full address...
Please note if we do not receive this information or an appeal from the driver within 28 days of the
charge notice being issued we will request registered keeper details from the DVLA and send a notice
    to the registered keeper."

Any advice on how to respond?
  • They are phishing for the name of the driver - Don’t tell them just ignore this.

You have been advised to edit your initial post which you still haven’t done.

    Hi guys,

I have also received a letter again asking for details of the driver at the time as a PCN notice was attached to my vehicle windscreen.

    Should I still ignore this?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi guys,

after all the previous correspondence listed above, I have now received a PCN reminder from MET, asking for £100.

I appealed using the blue text template recommended.

Letter says "...POPLA, is no longer available..."

Is this a letter I should be responding to/worrying about?

    thanks in advance.

I don't understand why 'PoPLA is no longer available'.

Have you missed the appeal rejection letter that supplied you with a PoPLA Verification Code?

Read the Alternative Dispute Regulations 2015 and ask them why not.

Have you complained to your MP?
