My mum has LT global equity in her ISA portfolio which I did 'approve' of her buying and she probably doesn't really remember what she has so I suppose I could say I have it, but I don't use it for myself.
If you don't have either Fundsmith or LTGE, would you mind me asking which global funds or IT's you do hold?0 -

Its 60% bonds and 40% stocks and it was one of the first funds I ever bought as it was recommended as a core retirement fund in an old employer's retirement account. Fee is 0.16% and dividend is 3% so it's used by many US folks as a retirement income generator.

Overall I'm now about 80% equities and 20% bonds with the majority being in my 3 index tracker funds, VTSAX, VTIAX and VBTLX. I take a total return approach and don't bother to divide my investment portfolio into buckets with specific objectives or time scales. I have a simple holistic goal of generating dividends and capital gains to fund my retirement. I do keep a cash bucket for spending and emergencies. But my portfolio is simple and I will take money from it and rebalance according to what's up and what's down as needed.“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”0 -

The ones that are properly global equity (meaningful amounts of US, Europe and Asia) without being mixed asset or dedicated to one industry sector are:
Public equities:
Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust (SMT)
iShares MSCI World Size Factor ETF GBP (IWFS)
Private equities:
Harbourvest Global Private Equity (HVPE)
Pantheon International PLC (PIN)
Although SMT does have 20% unlisted holdings and has its favourite sectors.0 -

That's some turnaround. Why the dramatic change of heart?0 -

Wow. Most people seem to go the other way.
Interested in what made you switch ?0 -
At the end of the day, the only real question people want answering on this type of thread is does my active portfolio outperform your passive! :rotfl:
Looking at performance LTGE, FE, SMT or HVPE for example, looks like you could have had the same performance with a slightly cheaper NASDAQ 100 tracker EQQQ0
