I wouldn't send a copy of my passport across the internet to a random company. Sorry but I wouldn't. And I am hardly a tin foil hat person.

I would send it to a bank, a gov dept, a creditor.
But a random upstart business that makes money selling credit "scores".... Nah.

You mean an FCA registered company like a bank or creditor?

Thats right. An upstart business created to sell credit scores. Whether they are FCA registered is of zero importance. It doesn't guarantee credibility lol. Many a disreputable company have been FCA registered. It doesn't make them whiter than white.

I wouldn't send "Clear Score" my passport details over the ether. No need for it.

Halifax. Yes, DVLA, yes. "ClearScore" - No.
