Is my credit utilisation failing my O2 contract credit check?
Comments

Sounds messy. I'll start calling the other companies if Equifax can't fix it.0
-
You can ask them - but again, they're not obliged to do it on your request.0
-
O2 finally replied. They've rejected it, again, and won't tell me why:
We use our own business policies to assess new applications as well as our credit scoring system. On this occasion you didn’t meet our criteria so we were unable to accept your application.
As our business policies are commercially sensitive and are not considered to be your personal data we are unable to give you more information on why we rejected your application.
I'm not sure what to do next. But there are only so many main mobile companies in the UK, and I don't want to be locked out of one of them forever. Is there anything else I can do to find out why they've rejected my application?0 -
The only thing that hasn't been mentioned is CIFAS, the fraud database.
It's unlikely to have any bearing, unless you know you've done something dodgy in the past, but may be worth a check.
Otherwise, just move onto another network.0 -
Never done anything fraudulent. Always paid my bills.0
-
Then just try another network0
-
That's good to know, but it still doesn't rule out the slim chance of there being something on your CIFAS files.0
-
Is there a way I can check that for myself?0
