Do Motornovo confirm that they don't finance Cat D cars? If not, it sounds like your dealer is trying to get an alternative company that will pay him more commission. (And cost you more.)

Presumably you make payments to Motornovo, don't you? I'd just keep making them.

Let's sy the new finance is £20 more each month.

Do you really trust the garage to keep making the payments each month? When they've already lied to both you (about doing the service) and the finance company (HPI clear, you wanting to reject the car).

If you're going to keep the car and let yourself be moved onto more expensive finance, get any dealer contribution up front!

Good suggestion which I'll bare in mind depending on the outcome of whatever happens!!

No idea ad Motonovo haven't told me anything. From google it appears a lot of companies dont do finance on Cat D cars but I've not been told that directly from them all they said was the issue was between them and the dealer.

Yea payments are setup direct with finance company by direct debit.

Quick update as this is now resolved.

Having sought legal advice and speaking in depth with Motonovo I decided best way to go.was to source my own loan. Garage then were asked to pay the difference.plus cost of a car service as they lied and didn't service it. They paid.motonova just shy of £1400 and then I settled the finance. Motonov waived all fees etc.as I was not.at fault and actually helped me resolve issues caused by the dealer.
