Vinyl Click Flooring
I bought new vinyl flooring from B&Q. It is part of their new range. It is similar to laminate, which click together, but made of vinyl so can be used in bathrooms and kitchens, which are prone to water spills.
However, the builder complained there was small gaps between some of the vinyl tiles. Some of the other tiles clicked perfectly and others didn't.
So I asked the builder to stop the job. It was clear, the item was n't made perfectly manufactured.
I took photos and asked him to remove it.
However, some of the tiles were cut. So making it hard to return. Some of the boxes where unopened.
What are my consumer rights?
If there are gaps in tile, it means over time with wear and tear, the tiles will become loose and also gaps, means that is there is a water still, it will rot the floor below.

Usually when they don't fit together perfectly, its because theres dirt/debris in the groove or its a tight fit and needs to be gently knocked in. Although given I'm not a professional floor fitter and know that, I'd expect the fitter you hired to know that. Did he mention anything he'd tried to close the gaps or just say there are gaps?
I guess I'm asking are you sure its down to the quality of the flooring itself rather than the fitter? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
If it's not of satisfactory quality then the fact it's been cut doesn't affect your rights to a refund/replacement.0

I used the same product a few weeks back and didn’t have a problem with it. But from time to time you can get bad batches that aren’t machines perfectly etc.
Just take it all back with your receipt and explain. They’ll know that this type of fault generally can’t be seen until installation. I doubt very much that they’ll quibble over it. I’ve never had problems taking back faulty/damaged items even after they’ve been cut/had packaging removed etc.0
