Can I Claim?

Hi, My flight home from Turkey was cancelled for 24 hours and my question is.......I did not have enough vital medication with me to cover the cancelled flight and as a consequence I went into a bit of cold turkey and was quite ill for the day, am i allowed to "claim" anything for this off the airline at all?

It depends on the reason for the cancellation. But you may be entitled to EU261 compensation, read the guide at the top of the forum.

There is no enhanced compensation for you running out of medication and getting ill. I expect you’ve learned the lesson but if medication is vital then in future take extra - although 99% of the time international air travel is routine, it can and often does go wrong!

Hi, I normally do bring extra with me, but on this occasion I compleatly mis-counted my meds! sods law i suppose, this is my first ever cancelled flight and i dont have enough medication! The flight was cancelled for 24 hours due to engeneering problems
