It’s up to you, but i’d be getting estate agents round as soon as they were no longer my neighbours, but no for sale sign for them to spot of course!

I wonder? I was considering what might happen the OP put up a fictitious sold sign - letting them think they had 'won'.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,
Had the whole of their cash in his care.

  • You don’t sound settled, you sound like there are people making your life a misery who aren’t going to stop as long as they know where you are but who might be smart enough to never get caught or stopped.

Just because you’be lived somewhere a long t8me doesn’t mean you have to stay.

Once they have handed the keys back in 2 weeks time, they won't have a reason/excuse to be near my home. If they do come past, I am sure the police will be more helpful then.

I have had more threats today from the son (in his 30's).I could hear him from inside my home. I just ignored. Very big of a man to threaten a woman. I know these people very well having known them 16 years. I know they are capable of smashing windows, slashing tyres etc. Their mouth is big but they are not fighters, just bullies who think they are big. They can only bully when they are together, not on their own.

The officer dealing with this is phoning me tomorrow. Hopefully he will speak to these individually and shake them up.
  • The officers dealing with this case came out to speak to me today. He first spoke to the man and son from nextdoor (at their new address). The man passed a message on to me to say he is sorry for the way things have ended. The son was told the threats and abuse stop now. They've agreed to draw a line under it. The police have pushed for the keys to be handed back on Monday which the man has agreed to.

The officers went to speak to the daughter regarding the assault but told me it will be hard to push for a prosecution (which I knew as my word against hers) with no witnesses.

The son has one thing to pick up from the house on Monday and once he's got that the keys will be handed back. He did pull in to my street at 3pm today, threatened me and drove off but this was before he was spoken to by the police.

The police asked me if I'm happy to draw a line under it all and if anything happens after Monday, we will take it from there.

Hopefully this is the end of it all. The family have lost a mother/wife 8 days ago so they should have more important things to be doing than harassing me.

I was also told that the police are in touch with the HA and anyone will be vetted before they can move in to make sure they don't have a police history. The police even commented how lovely the area is and it should be a lovely place to live with me being on a gable end and all the greenery. It is a lovely quiet place, all you see is local dog walkers, not even kids out playing so it's very peaceful. The only problem was my neighbours.
