You can change the forum skin in Miscellaneous Options, under Options via User CP

Yes - There was so much hoo-ha about it that existing members at the time of the change were allowed to retain the old style if they wanted.

Whats the old style? And what's the new?

Is the new one the blue skin that we see before we log in?
And the old style the green skin?

If so, I am able to switch between these, and I only joined last week.

I don't think so. IIRC it was only people already registered before they rolled-out the new forum who were given the option to revert.

It took a while to sort this one out - despite eventually changing to the new forum, every time I logged-in on a far-flung computer or device that I had previously been logged-in to on the old forum, it reverted all my devices..!

I still use the old style because the new one just wastes so much screen space; I come here to read comments & opinions, not to look at useless widgetry.

But yes, there's an option to use the other style.

I joined this site 3-4 weeks ago and I too have the option of 3 different forum skins.

Amazing how many established MSEers seem prepared to argue black is white ... and it seems even more prevailant against us newbies :(.

    .

As you joined 6 months ago which we can see from your info, its weird that you have the option of the old skin.

I prefer the old green version and have never got on with the new blue skin.

Lets see what next year holds when the all new forum hits us :rotfl::rotfl:
