Pocophone f1 help

Does anyone know if it's possible to set preferential internet connection on Pocophone f1 please?
For example my previous mobile had a setting which allowed wi fi connection as primary and data connection as secondary so that I don't waste data at home or at the office.
Recently bought Pocophone and can't find this setting. Was a bit of a surprise to find out I have used 3GB of data in 3weeks, versus usual 1.5GB a month
Really don't want to have to switch data on/off every day

All Android phones will default to wifi if available, then mobile data if not. You don't need a setting. You must have had a firmware update or big app update when you were out of wifi range.

Thank you for clarifying. I found a setting that allowed Wi-Fi to be avoided if it had poor connection. Unfortunately our new supplier internet keeps disconnecting and possibly my data was used instead.
Have disabled this option now, so will see how I get on this mother
