PlusGas is highly flammable and it's not a good idea to be spraying it in areas where there is the possibility of a spark.
Even if the brake lights aren't getting power, there may be other things (such as alarm sensors) close by that may still be live.

This is very true. I mean, I died at least four times the other week when using a blowtorch and plusgas on some very reluctant fasteners.

This is very true. I mean, I died at least four times the other week when using a blowtorch and plusgas on some very reluctant fasteners.
By the time you used the blowtorch, the solvent in the Plusgas would have evaporated and the gas used in the aerosol would also have dissipated.
It's possible for some wiring and components to still be live with the ignition turned off and for the couple of seconds it takes to disconnect the battery, I don't see any harm in suggesting it is done.0 -
