Hi all,
I'm wondering if I could get a PCN charge thrown out under a technicality...misspelling of the establishment I am being charged for parking?
Thanks.

On well. First off I'll start with I've been a moron and left it till the last minute so I do apologise.
After football we went back to a pub which was close to a club and there was grounds with an entry and exit and a car park set inbetween them, we weren't made aware that it was private parking so weren't particularly looking for signage but there was at least 6 of us that parked there and ultimately got charged.
I haven't since been back to check the signage as it's not local to me but in the initial letter it says permit holders only but it's actually a keypad sign in thing, is that worth mentioning?
I appreciate I haven't got much to go off but charges are up to 270 now and anyway I can knock money off that would be ideal if I can't get it thrown out altogether.
Thanks.0 -

Who is the parking company ?
It is important that you provide your own evidence and that means getting pics of the signs
Guess you have been receiving Debt collector letters, hence the £270 ..... they make up figures and lie and actually have no power anyway. You will not owe that amount0 -
Civil enforcement limited are the ones doing the chasing.
Can I provide them after I've sent an initial defence? My last letter was from the county court and I did ignore all previous letters.
I have read through other cases on the forum so understand that most extra charges are just part of the scam.0 -
Obviously, defending the court claim reduces the scam amount to zero (99% likely), or under £200 if you are unlucky enough to be among the 1% here who lose.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

With a Claim Issue Date of 30th May, you had until Tuesday 18th June to do the Acknowledgement of Service. You haven't said, but I am going to assume that you did the AoS by that date. Please confirm.
With a Claim Issue Date of 30th May, and having done the Acknowledgement of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 2nd July 2019 to file your Defence.
When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:-
Print your Defence.
- Sign it and date it.
- Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
- Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
- Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
- Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
- Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
- Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.
0 - Sign it and date it.
-
Yeah I filed that prior to that date.
I'll have a drive through to the car park tomorrow morning and see what's what in terms of signage then I'll post a draft defence in here and go from there.
Many thanks for the help and advice.0 -
this one was almost too late as well, so have a look at it and maybe use it as a basis for your defence ?

if not suitable , follow these instructionsmost people can use bargepole's concise template defence from the NEWBIES thread,
and add in a point or two about the facts of the case/contravention/why they are not liable.
And a point about no landowner authority as seen in other defences and add the
