Six months ago I replaced my much-loved Windows 7 laptop with a MacBook Pro. It has been a very steep learning curve! Without the help of my son-in-law I wouldn't have stuck with it - it would have long since been replaced with another Windows. Mind you, I am considerably older than your daughter which could have had something to do with it - young brains learn much quicker than old ones. I still don't love it and still regret not replacing like with like.
Sorry to disagree, but I did exactly the same a few years ago when I retired and found it easy to change from a Windows PC to a MacBook. My experience with a Windows set-up no doubt added to the ease with which I soon cottoned on to the Apple system. I wouldn't change back. But I think it's horses for courses, a personal thing?I can't imagine a life without cheese. (Nigel Slater)0
