With a Claim Issue Date of
1. Print your Defence.
2. Sign it and date it.
3. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
4. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
5. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
6. Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
7. Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
8. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.
KeithP, I am sure that in one of the versions of this, you used to say "send your DQ to the same address that you used for your defence" Is this correct? If so, can you add it back in? If not just ignore me!

Coupon-mad - if KeithP agrees it is correct, can it be added to the NEWBIE thread post # 2?
• Hi all, we have been given a court date on this and I have received the papers from NCP.

On review I have checked back through receipts and I have found one however there's an issue... I paid through Ringo app, but instead of entering machine number 9351 I have assigned my parking to machine 9357.... which is 225 miles from where I actually parked, what an idiot I know! Anyway, do I have a chance of challenging this out of court or should I just pay the fine because it's my fault?
Thank you x

Sorry Le_Kirk, I wasn't ignoring you - honest.

No, nothing about where to send the DQ has ever been incorporated in that post. I've thought about it from time to time, but really didn't want to extend that post.

It is perhaps time for the NEWBIES thread to be clearer about how to file a Defence and how to file and serve a DQ.

I would be happy to drop all that stuff you have quoted from my repetitive post, just leaving a couple of sentences about the dates and a pointer to the AoS guidance.

A judge would probably find this trivial and a simple error because why would you enter a number for 225 miles away ???

What is not trivial is the Abuse of process by BWLegal

Of course you still have a case, this is a technicality and the scammers know where your car was, they have images!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No worries. I think I must have made it up. Don't shorten your "repetitive post" as I am sure it is useful to posters (even if they sometimes seem not to have read it) and I certainly find it useful to point posters towards it.
