Advice on Contribution Based JSA and Will I be entitled?

Hi All,
Am new here and found the forums so helpful and I thought I would post as I would really appreciate some feedback -
Been at my job for 5 years , the place has turned into a shambles. 6 weeks ago , I got pulled in by the directors and given 5 mins to decide to take on a new role (I want given an option BASICALLY)
I was told training would begin and since the 6 weeks , I have had no training whatsoever, I have remained doing my old role while being pushed into this new role with no supportand unrealistic goals to adhere to. I feel like I have no support or structure.
Have raised my issues to my manager, and I broke down the other day in tears as I just couldn't cope. I suffer with migraines which have increased and well as having panic attacks. I have literally worked myself into a terrible stress situation and my manager even said he don't know if there will be light at the end.
I am going to hand my notice in tomorrow as I cannot cope there anymore.
I know the Jobcentre poses sanctions but then I read that if you have paid NI contributions, you can get contribution based JSA for 6 months?
I just want to make sure main bills are covered and then I will be searching like crazy for a new job.
I know people will say , find a new job first, but I actually feel sick with angst thinking about that place.
Other situations have been occuring in the 6 months but this was the icing on the cake.
Where do I stand in respect of getting contribution based JSA?
Am I in a position to receive this to fill a void while I find new work? Any replies would be appreciated. Thx

It's now called New style JSA and the sanctions apply to that as well.0

Hi,
Shows how out the loop I am... Does my situation mean I am likely to be sanctioned..?0 -
Do you have any accrued holiday, if so your employer must pay you this.
You may wish to talk to an advice agency about whether your employer’s behaviour amounts to constructive dismissal https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/work/leaving-a-job/dismissal/claiming-constructive-dismissal/Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -

Not necessarily. It will be down to a decision maker to decide, unfortunately you will not know in advance - however it is certainly a possibility. The sanction, if applied, would most likely be 13 weeks from the date of your resignation - during this time you would not be paid any benefit.

Thanks Calcotti - to be honest, I am hoping I land in a new job before my 4 week notice is even up, I just want to plan for worse case scenarios...
I will check out the links you have posted but that's very helpful , thanks0 -
They ask you why you left and if they like the reason they don't sanction you. Nine years ago I left a job because the job changed and that reason was accepted. Whether they are more strict now I don't know.0

I am going to be entirely honest and also give them a copy of my resignation letter (which states all the reasons anyway) , hoping that will suffice although even better, I hope I actually find a new job...!0

Could you not go sick by getting a sick note from your Dr rather than leaving, put in a grievance now to allowing them time to deal with your official grievance while your on the sick?0

9 times out 10, I don't dig too deep for contribution benefits as you paid in and only get it for 6 months.
Most of the work coaches I know do the same, but it depends who you get on the day, as some can be jobsworths.0 -
Don't do anything in haste as bad as it seems. I would look at getting signed off sick. I guess it depends if you think that might affect your chances of securing another job but it may just give you a bit of breathing space.0
