Dulux vs dulux Easy care

Due to get my house painted soon, and the mrs wants Dulux

Various colours we are looking at, I did wonder, was homebase are doing 3 for 2 on dulux at the moment, Im curious as to whether the Dulux Easy care is worth paying that bit more for, over the normal one in same colour,

basically its my house, but going to let ir out for a year or so after doing a full refurb on it, so am wondering if spending a little extra now will benefit in the long term but dont know much about the easy care paint or not.

Cheers

We have grandkids and can recommend the Easy Care, well worth paying the extra

Dulux Trade Diamond is the stuff you want. It will take less coats and cover more area for less cost overall. Probably.

My pro decorators were, however, quite impressed with the Dulux Easy Care when they had to match a room colour as part of an Insurance redecorate. It does allow many marks to be wiped off or scrubbed.

We looked at Dulux Easycare but finally settled on Dulux trade diamond hard. Supplier told us Easycare is diluted trade paint.

So far really impressed with coverage & quality of paint.

Johnstone's Trade acrylic matt. They will colour match other paint ranges, including Dulux.

Easy care is good but in warm weather its very thick and dries quickly so add a little water. The first coat will look patchy but after the second its great

5hanks, we are getting a paibter to do the actual painting but at short notice and my partners lack of flexibility (it had to be dulux) I thought I'd ask here first.

    Thanks for the feedback

Hi. A vote for the Dulux from me.

I have my whole flat done in "Natural Calico". It is stunning. Much nicer than Magnolia.

I decorate every 2 years. My advice to you is a 5 litre pot of Dulux coloured emulsion should be £20. If you pay more than this, you are paying too much.

If you want to know any more stuff about paint, or prices etc I can help you. Okay.

I'd love to know where you are getting trade quality paint for that price
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

Our lovely, noisy decorator always wants Dulux. He's just done our kitchen and dining room in Easy Care.

    I don't buy trade paint.

I was speaking about a 5 litre pot of Dulux coloured emulsion.
