Switched to RBS ... ended up with 2 accounts?

I noticed the £175 offer for RBS switching a couple week ago so initially did it for myself & then helped the rest of my family do it as they wanted some free money also.
I'd say i'm 100% sure everyones applications had the correct details on it for them but then when something goes wrong there's often 0.00000000000001% of doubt that creeps in where you just ask ... did I?
My account was opened up pretty quickly to be fair. Got the app on my phone, card, PIN, deposited money & made a payment. All good. The rest of the family don't seem to be having things move so quickly but some have received cards so it's at least progressing.
I was getting emails about my application ... after my application had been finalised. I just thought it strange but probably some glitch.
Today i received a brand new RBS card for a different account number. I log in to my account to find that it's not listed in my account listings. There's still only the original account there.
Not really sure what's going on. Wondering if anyone else has ended up with this situation or whether it's just me.
I'm hoping it doesn't affect my £175 one way or another.

Does the new card have your name on it? Are any of the family members also living at your address and, if so, which ones have yet to receive anything?0

RBS are a shambles - especially that digidocs nonsense - but, who knows, you may end up with £350.
In a similar situation M&S paid me the opening bribe twice. Then when I closed one of the accounts they mistakenly downgraded my 5% regular saver. As the account which closed was NOT the one that was funding the regular - more compensation...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Only my wife is at my address but she already has her card.
I'd need to have a check but i think there's only my brother who's left to get his card & that's probably because his driving licence was rejected, i assume because it was taken too far away even though you could clearly read everything - so he's had to re-submit.RBS are a shambles - especially that digidocs nonsense - but, who knows, you may end up with £350.

Good luck.
That digidocs thing is nonsense. I don't know if it's a vital part of the £175 or what. If it is then my mother is out of luck. She's entering her email address but it simply wont accept it. Checked her emails & she receives RBS emails just fine. Re-enter the address & it just rejects it every time for some reason.0 -

I may see if i can get some money out of them for opening a second account when i didn't ask for it.
It takes 2 working days to appear online.0 -
Just a thought - to get the £175 you’ve to use the card each month for a payment.
Is that calendar month or a month from when it opened?
Asking as if you get your card at the very end of the month then you have zero time really to go make a payment. Especially if you wind up having trouble with online banking.
If it was just a month from opening then everyone would have fair chance. Just wondered what it was.0 -

I applied for an RBS account at the end of this month (June) and the switch to RBS should happen tomorrow (July 1st). I believe the T&C's stated you must pay in £1,500 a month, complete switch , and log into online banking by 2 Aug, to receive the £125 by 30 Aug. Then use debit card at least once a month to receive the last £50 payment by 30 Jun 2020.0 -
Pay in £1500 rather than £1500 per month?0

"I believe the T&C's stated you must pay in £1,500 a month,"
No, just a one off "at least £1500".0 -
No, check the T’s and C’s again, only says pay in £1500.0

I have also gone for this deal which went through today, I have received an email saying my switch is happening right now. Can I confirm that I will still get the bonus as the switch date counts as the day I started the application? The offer expired last week.
I can confirm there are two offers, the one that requires £1500 per month with x amount off direct debits is for their Reward account, whereas you can opt for the select account that just requires a deposit and average balance of £1500.0
