Since Feb 2019 do I need to tell BT I am changing ISP?

Hi.
I have just signed up for Zen Internet for phone and broadband. I am currently with BT for both.
I am not sure if I have to tell BT or not? It seems some changes have been made around Feb 2019? Is it the case that Zen Internet will inform BT and that BT will then stop the Direct Debit? (I am out of contract).

I hope I don't want to go through the retentions rigmarole on the phone.

Apologies if this has already been answered - I did try searching.
